Engel 65 portable freezer pictureNew to the USA in 2006, the Engel MT60-Combi is a large and powerful dual voltage combination fridge and freezer, with two seperate compartments - one freezer and one refrigerator. The refrigerator compartment is fixed at 40o F and the freezer compartment features variable temperature regulation from 40o down to below 0oF.

Whats "Cool" About the Engel dual-voltage units is the fact that when operating on DC voltage and the AC cord is plugged into an AC outlet, the unit will automatically switch over to operate on AC current, saving the battery voltage. This is a great feature when used with docked boats and RV's.

The internationally patented, Engel "swing" compressor is considered the most reliable compressor on the market today. This may have something to do with the fact that the compressor only has one moving part.
