The "Sad faced" Fire Truck, inspired by the sad faced pedal cars of the late 40's. The design of the front grill is a blend of 1949 Packard, Buick and Oldsmobile grills. The result is a sad face or an upside down smile. Nostalgia at work. Made from heavy gauge steel, no plastic, just like yesteryear. The windshield, bell, ladder bars, steering wheel and hubcaps are all beautifully chrome plated. Removeable wooden ladders are hung on the rear ladder bars. The body and undergear are powder coated a brilliant red and the insignias are painted white. Built beefy, to last, this firetruck is good for hundreds if not thousands of imaginary fires. The body is 45½" long and 15.6" wide. Minor assembly is required and consists of installing the rear ladder bars and the ladders. The only tools needed are a screwdriver and pliers.
