All the wheels, except the drive wheel, are steel that ride on sealed ball bearings. The rear, drive, axle is ball bearing mounted. The High Traction tires are durable rubber. The spare tire and wheel assembly is fully a fully functional front wheel. The non slip pedal is three position adjustable on the rectangular steel bars that, acting like connecting rods on a crankshaft, connect to the rear axel. It's a full 34 inches long, 19 inches high and 18 inches wide. Built to last. Your child can pass it on to his or her children. Ages 2 to small 7
